Prayer and Fast

 

  

“ANSWER THE CALL"

•Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. W he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us.” Then the Philistine said, “This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” On hearing the Philistine’s words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.”

 1 Samuel 17:8-11

Goliath stands at the door of the camp challenging the armies of the living God, “Send me a man who will come out and fight against me.” David looks King Saul in the eyes and declares that the same God who delivered him from the lion md the bear will deliver him from this giant. Like David, we too have to be ever ready to answer the call of the giants we face on a daily basis. We often face our own “Goliaths” when challenged beyond our normal fight. Be careful to answer as David did and

1. Be confident in knowing that the same God that was with you before will be with you now,

2. Use your own war gear and not that of others,

3. Run toward the opportunity to answer the call of the very thing that attempts to defy what God has established in your life and

4. Stand in the face of your giant knowing this battle is not yours but it belongs to the Lord. God is looking for those who will not consider the size of the giant’s stand but rather be confident in the greaoiess of his fall. This modem-day David who will without hesitation answer the call of the enemy could be You!

Answer the Call!

Thought for the Day: I am determined to press forward and follow the call of God

Prayer for Direction:  Dear God, I accept the challenges of today with the same confidence of the battles fought and the victories won of yesterday. Give me the wisdom to wholly rely of your power to meet the difficulty of my challenge. By the power and authority, you have given me, I declare the victory over every giant in my way and decree that by your grace I will answer the Call. 

 In Jesus Name I pray Amen!
